Our Story

 

The Computer Emergency Response Team (aeCERT) was established by Resolution 5/89 of 2008 issued by the Ministerial Council for Services. The team was established to improve practices of information security, and protect the IT infrastructure in the UAE from risks and violations, in line with TDRA strategy that aims at supporting and ensuring a safer cyber space in the UAE.

 

TDRA is the entity responsible for enabling and regulating the digital government sector. As part of this role, TDRA coordinate with the concerned authorities in the country to ensure that the digital government systems and enablers, networks and digital government infrastructure in the federal government comply with the standards and requirements in order to enhance its readiness to address and overcome risks and threats. TDRA provides information security services to support the federal government in this domain.

  • Providing cybersecurity services to the federal government
  • A trusted focal point for cybersecurity incidents
  • Enhancing cyber awareness in the UAE
  • Building national expertise in cybersecurity
  • Managing the SOC and cybersecurity compliance of TDRA and the Federal Network (FEDnet)
  • Representing the UAE internationally in cybersecurity organizations
