Statement by Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TDRA)

In response to a number of media inquiries, in the context of the emergency procedures taken as a response to the emerging conditions, and as part of the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority’s efforts to support distance learning and working from home, TDRA, in coordination with the UAE telecom operators (Etisalat & du), announced the availability of a set of applications, exceptionally and until further notice. These applications are:

First, applications compatible with all networks in the country, namely: Microsoft Teams application, Zoom application, Blackboard application, Cisco Webex, Avaya Spaces, BlueJeans, Slack and Matrx.

Second, applications compatible with fixed Internet networks: Microsoft Skype for Business and Google Hangout meet .

TDRA will occasionally review the list of available applications.
